Ingredients
  

  • For the Biscuit Base:
  • 250 g approximately 9 oz digestive biscuits
  • 150 g about 5.3 oz unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons golden syrup
  • For the Filling:
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 100 g around 3.5 oz dried fruits (raisins, sultanas, or a mix)
  • 50 g approximately 1.75 oz chopped nuts (such as almonds, walnuts, or hazelnuts)
  • For the Chocolate Topping:
  • 200 g about 7 oz dark chocolate (70% cocoa content or as per your preference)
  • 100 g around 3.5 oz unsalted butter

Instructions
 

  • Line a 20cm square tin with baking paper.
  • In a heatproof bowl, melt the butter, golden syrup and chocolate over a pan of simmering water, stirring occasionally until smooth.
  • Break the biscuits into small pieces and add them to the melted chocolate mixture along with the raisins. Mix well until all the ingredients are coated.
  • Press the mixture into the lined tin and spread it out evenly.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
  • Cut into squares and serve.
