  • Sweetener e.g., honey, maple syrup, or agave nectar
  • Spices e.g., cinnamon, nutmeg, or vanilla extract
  • Salt for balance
  • Healthy oil e.g., coconut oil or olive oil

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, combine the oats, nuts, salt, and cinnamon. Stir to blend.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted oil, maple syrup, and vanilla extract.
  • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix well, until every oat and nut is lightly coated.
  • Spread the granola out evenly on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the granola is golden brown and crispy. Stir the granola halfway through baking to ensure even cooking.

  • Once the granola is cool, store it in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
