In regards to the Garlic Butter:
- o 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
- o 3 cloves garlic minced
- o 1/4 teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- o 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano flakes
- o 1/8 teaspoon salt
- o 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
For the Bread:
- o 1 loaf about 1 pound crusty bread, such as baguette, Italian bread, or French bread
- o 1-2 tablespoons olive oil
Set the oven temperature to 200°C, or 400°F. To make cleaning easier, line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Get the garlic butter ready. Cream the softened butter, parsley, oregano, minced garlic, salt, and pepper in a medium-sized bowl. For this stage, you can use a regular fork or a hand mixer.
Prepare the bread: Cut the loaf into slices that are straight or angled, and they should be between half and an inch thick.
Time for the brushing: liberally coat each piece of bread with olive oil.
Spread love: The enjoyable part is about to begin! Spread the garlic butter evenly over each slice of bread, including the borders.
Bake until golden brown: Place the bread slices in a single layer on the baking sheet that has been prepared. Bake for ten to fifteen minutes, or until the bread is crispy and golden brown and the garlic butter is bubbling.
Rest and serve: Before presenting, allow the garlic bread to cool somewhat. Though we understand the urge to plunge straight in, this lets the garlic butter solidify and keeps your tongue from burning.
